A lifelong resident of the Ringgold area, Jack was a retired Veteran of the U.S. Army where he served as a U.S. Airborne Ranger Instructor, serving in the Korean and Vietnam Wars. He was a retired employee of Whealand Foundary where he worked for 23 years, a member of the U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit of Ft. Gordon, the American Legion and the NRA. Jack is preceded in death by his wife, Jean Kittle; parents, John P. and Iva Owens Kittle; two sons, Andrew "Andy" Kittle Jr. and Larry "Chuck" Kittle; sister, Johnnie Mae Bynum and brother, Bud Kittle. He is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Renee I Davis (William) of Radcliff, KY. and Angela James (Steve) of Chickamauga, GA; daughter-in-law, Patricia "Pat" Kittle of Ringgold, GA., three sisters, Dorothy Green (Ernest), Rubye Tate and Leona Rhinehart (Terry) all of Ringgold, GA; brother Pat Kittle of Ringgold, GA., nine grandchildren, four great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Friday August 30, 2013 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Garland Hullendar officiating. Interment will follow at Lakewood Memory Gardens-South. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 3-9 P.M., all day Thursday and until funeral time Friday at the funeral home.
