MY PAPA WAS A CATTLEMAN THE MAJORITY OF HIS LIFE. HE WAS BORN AND RAISED IN MAYO, LAFAYETTE COUNTY FLORIDA THEN MOVED TO DIXIE COUNTY THEN ONTO ALACHUA COUNTY. IN THE LAST YEARS OF HIS LIFE HE LIVED IN DIXIE COUNTY, WHEN HE DIED IN 1986 HE WAS LIVING IN MEDIC AYERS NURSING HOME IN GILCHRIST COUNTY.
