     Michael was born on 19 April 1982 at Decatur, Dekalb, Georgia, United States.1 He was the son of Robert Eugene Stokely and Mellissa Rumsey. He died on 16 August 2005 at Baghdad, Iraq, at age 23.2 He was buried at Loganville, Walton, Georgia, United States.2
     Biography of Michael James Stokely:

Michael James Stokely, was killed by an IED at age 23 while serving with E Troop 108th Cavalry 48th Brigade GA NATL Guard US Army near Yusufiyah south of Baghdad on 16 August 20005 and is buried in Loganville GA. Michael was married to his high school sweetheart, Niki Yancey, ten days before going to Iraq. They did not have children. [Robert Stokely]2
