     Ida Elizabeth Townsend was born on 4 February 1879 at Marlboro Co., South Carolina.¹ She was the daughter of John Robertson Townsend and Catherine Jane "Kate" Rogers. Ida Elizabeth Townsend married Robert James Rogers Jr. on 15 April 1903 at Marlboro Co., South Carolina.² Ida Elizabeth Townsend died on 20 June 1964 at Marlboro Co., South Carolina, at age 85.³ She was buried at Drake Cemetery, Marlboro Co., South Carolina.²

Isaac Cleveland Townsend married Elsie Mae Wilkinson.² Isaac Cleveland Townsend married Nona May Moore on 17 April 1924 at Alachua Co., Florida.³ Isaac Cleveland Townsend died on 16 April 1964 at age 64.²

     Isabella Townsend was born on 13 February 1849 at Marlboro Co., South Carolina.¹ She was the daughter of Jabish N. Townsend and Ann C. (--?--). Isabella Townsend died on 27 October 1921 at Marlboro Co., South Carolina, at age 72. She was buried at Parnassus Methodist Church Cemetery, Marlboro Co., South Carolina.

     Isham was born on 22 September 1813 at Marlboro Co., South Carolina. He was the son of John Townsend and Kiziah Hays. Isham died on 21 March 1829 at Marlboro Co., South Carolina, at age 15. His body was buried in March 1829 at Mossy Bay Cemetery, Marlboro Co., South Carolina.

     Israel was born on 21 November 1823 at South Carolina.¹ He was the son of Allen Townsend and Sarah Briant. He married Julia Ann Townsend, daughter of Samuel Townsend and Edia (--?--), on 13 March 1844 at Madison Co., Florida.² Israel died on 2 September 1864 at Madison Co., Florida, at age 40.³ His body was buried in September 1864 at Hickory Grove Church, Madison Co., Florida.⁴

Biography of Israel Townsend:

Israel was born in South Carolina, probably Marlboro District in 1823. He moved into Madison County in the early to mid 1830's where he remained for the rest of his life. A death notice in the Southern Christian Advocate of 6 Oct 1864 lists him as "died at his house in Madison Co., Fla" and indicates he was a member of the 4th Fla. Batt. of the Confederate States of America in the Civil War. Confederate Military records of the Civil War indicate he was a member Company E. of the 11th Florida Infantry of the Confederate Army. He enlisted 28 February 1863 at Madison, Florida with Col. G. Smith. Those records indicate he was furloughed from Howard Grove General Hospital in Richmond Virginia on 10 August 1864 for a period of 60 days. Those same records indicate he died 5 Sep 1864, but do not indicate where he died. One presumes he died at his home in Madison County, Florida from wounds received in battle. He is presumed to be buried in Hickory Grove Church Cemetery in Madison County Florida as indicated by a Confederate States of America Military Marker. That marker indicates he was a member of Company E of the 11th Florida Infantry. Many of his children are also buried at Hickory Grove.

     Israel was born on 28 July 1859 at Madison Co., Florida.¹ He was the son of Israel Townsend and Julia Ann Townsend. He married Johnnie A. Burnett, , on 28 December 1882 at Madison Co., Florida.² Israel died on 28 June 1937 at Madison Co., Florida, at age 77.³ His body was buried in June 1937 at Hickory Grove Church, Madison Co., Florida.
