Brannan and Mary Boatright, on 12 August 1874 at Suwannee Co., Florida.2 He married Mattie Jones, daughter of Arnold Jones, on 17 April 1930 at Suwannee Co., Florida.3 John died on 16 April 1940 at Suwannee Co., Florida, at age 84.4 His body was buried on 18 April 1940 at Rocky Sinks Cemetery., Suwannee Co., Florida.4

Biography of John Stafford Parker:

John S. Parker was a Baptist Preacher, like his father, all of his life. His obituary in the "The Suwannee Democrat" paper of Live Oak, Florida dated 26 April 1940 on page 9 reads as follows:

"NEWBERN RESIDENT, J. S. PARKER, DIES, AFTER LONG ILLNESS"

"J. S. Parker died at his home near here Tuesday night, after being in failing health for many years."
