     George was born on 11 November 1844 at Madison Co., Florida. He was the son of Israel Townsend and Julia Ann Townsend. He married Ellen Bevan, daughter of William James Bevan and Mary Jane Ramsey, on 24 November 1874 at Madison, Madison Co., Florida. George died on 10 February 1924 at Suwannee Co., Florida, at age 79. His body was buried in February 1924 at Live Oak Cemetery, Live Oak, Suwannee Co., Florida.²

     Georgia Amanda Townsend was born on 22 July 1843 at McIntosh Co., Georgia.¹ She was the daughter of William Riley Townsend and Dorinda Stafford.

     Gerald was born on 22 January 1920 at Madison Co., Florida.¹ He was the son of John Hilliard Townsend and Ethel Agnes Williams. He married Edith C. Campbell, daughter of John Thomas Campbell and Nina Jane Hamilton, on 12 August 1939 at Madison Co., Florida.¹ Gerald died on 20 December 1998 at age 78.

     Gideon Townsend was born on 15 March 1774 at Pittsylvania Co., Virginia.¹ He was the son of Thomas Townsend and Anaphilda Watson. Gideon Townsend died; Died young as he is not mentioned in his mother's 1798 will.¹

     Gordon Townsend was born circa 1878 at Marlboro Co., South Carolina.¹ He was the son of Robert E. Townsend and Queen Victoria Huckabee.

     Grambling Townsend was the son of Christopher Columbus Townsend and Catherine Elizabeth Buckhanan.

     Green Berry Townsend was born on 16 April 1827 at Lowndes Co., Georgia.¹ He was the son of John "Jack" Townsend and Vicie Hargrove. Green Berry Townsend married Ann Foxworth.² Green Berry Townsend died on 20 February 1895 at Alachua Co., Florida, at age 67. He was buried at Townsend Cemetery, Hawthorne, Alachua Co., Florida.³
     
Biography of Green Berry Townsend:

"Greenberry followed the trade of carpentry around Arredonda between Gainesville and Archer, Fla. He married Annie Foxworth and to them was born a son, Sidney, who died young in a railroad car coupling accident. They also had a daughter, Missouri, who died at eight or ten years of age, leaving Greenberry without descendants. He was a four-year Civil War Veteran and is buried in the Townsend Cemetery, Hawthorne, Fla." ⁴

"Green Berry was never married so far as I know. He was a Sgt. in Co. K, 10th Regiment, S.C. Infantry, C.S.A. He died Feb. 20, 1895. and is buried in the Townsend Cemetery west of Hawthorne, with a U.D.C. tombstone on his grave. The only recollection I have of his being mentioned by someone who knew him, is an incident concerning him, which my father related. It seems that Green Berry was a small man and as the story goes, he became angry at a large negro woman and said, "If you do that again I'll slap you down." To which she replied, "Maybe-e-e you can't do it." He Just spluttered and went elsewhere.⁵

     Hanibal J. Townsend was born in December 1910 at Marlboro Co., South Carolina.¹ He was the son of Benjamin Townsend and Althea (--?--).

     Hannah Townsend was born on 5 June 1834 at Lowndes Co., Georgia.¹ She was the daughter of David R. Townsend and Nancy Burnett. Hannah Townsend married William R. Bevan on 22 December 1853 at Madison Co., Florida.² Hannah Townsend died on 4 July 1861 at Lafayette Co., Florida, at age 27.³ She was buried at Brown Cemetery, Lafayette Co., Florida.³

     Hanson Delaney Townsend was born circa 1848 at Jefferson Co., Florida.¹ She was the daughter of Thomas Jefferson Townsend and Molsey Ann Scott. Hanson Delaney Townsend married John Jefferson Stubbs on 13 September 1868 at Madison Co., Florida.² Hanson Delaney Townsend died in 1915 at Madison Co., Florida.²
