     Elizabeth Townsend was born in 1815 at South Carolina. She was the daughter of Jabish T. Townsend and Elizabeth Spears. Elizabeth Townsend married Thomas McDaniel.¹

     Elizabeth Townsend was born on 22 April 1768 at probably Orange Co., North Carolina.¹ She was the daughter of Thomas Townsend and Anaphilda Watson.¹ Elizabeth Townsend married Bryan Ward Nowlin on 12 February 1786 at Pittsylvania Co., Virginia.¹ Elizabeth Townsend died on 21 May 1860 at Bedford Co., Tennessee, at age 92.¹

     Elizabeth Townsend was born circa 1836 at Alachua Co., Florida.¹ She was the daughter of James Light Townsend and Eliza Harrison.

     Elizabeth "Betsy" Townsend was born circa 1801 at Warren Co., Kentucky. She was the daughter of Light Townsend and Elizabeth "Betsy" Long. Elizabeth "Betsy" Townsend died in 1889 at Edmonson Co., Kentucky.

Although a marriage bond exists, apparently the marriage was never performed. William H. Dunn married Phebe Thompson a few months later and moved to Missouri. She is named in the will of her mother, Elizabeth Townsend, as my daughter Elizabeth Townsend, May court 1859 Edmonson Co., Kentucky, Will Book 1:76.

Her will dated 26 Dec 1888, names her sister Nancy Dunn and her brother James Townsend, proved Sep 1889, Edmonson Co. Court, by the testimony of J. F. Spillman and E. F. Bledsoe, Edmonson Co., Kentucky, Will Book 2:68.¹

     Elizabeth A. Townsend was born in October 1899 at Alachua Co., Florida.¹ She was the daughter of Thomas Jefferson Townsend and Serona Boulware.

     Elizabeth Adeline Townsend was born on 1 June 1820 at Liberty Co., Georgia.¹ She was the daughter of John "Jack" Townsend and Nancy Leigh. Elizabeth Adeline Townsend married John S. Taylor in 1852 at Hernando Co., Florida.¹ Elizabeth Adeline Townsend died on 3 March 1854 at Hernando Co., Florida, at age 33.^1,2

     Elizabeth Delaney J. Townsend was born circa 1857 at Marlboro Co., South Carolina.² He was the son of Jabish N. Townsend and Hester Ann Townsend.

     Elizabeth L. Townsend was born on 22 February 1849 at Florida.¹ She was the daughter of Charles Townsend and Annie America Summerlin. Elizabeth L. Townsend married Jesse W. Walker circa 1869.¹ Elizabeth L. Townsend died on 7 March 1929 at Aucilla, Jefferson Co., Florida, at age 80.¹ She was buried in May 1913 at Elizabeth Cemetery, Aucilla, Jefferson Co., Florida.

     Ella Townsend was born circa 1874 at Florida.¹ She was the daughter of Lorenzo D. Townsend and Jane (--?--).

     Ella Imogene Townsend was born on 2 February 1906 at Rex, Alachua Co., Florida.¹ She was the daughter of James Light Townsend and Annie Rebecca Bell. Ella Imogene Townsend married George Andrew Kelsey.¹ Ella Imogene Townsend died on 4 February 2003 at Tampa, Hillsborough Co., Florida, at age 97.² She was buried at Oak Hill Cemetery, Lake Placid, Highland Co., Florida.²
     
Biography of Ella Imogene Townsend:

Ella Imogene Townsend was born in Alachua Co., Florida and moved with her family to old DeSoto County, Florida in 1908. After marrying George Kelsey, they lived in various towns in Highlands County where he taught school. They moved to Avon Park in 1951 and he preceded her in death in 1987. She was an active member of First United Methodist Church in Avon Park where she attended the J.O.Y. Sunday School Class, sang alto in the choir, held various offices in the United Methodist Women, and attended the church Singles Group. She was a life member of the Avon Park Garden Club, sang with the Sweet Adelines, and loved the fellowship she and her friends had in the "Sew What" group.²
