     Coleson Townsend was born circa 1783 at Hilson Bay, Craven Co., South Carolina. He was the son of Light Townsend and (--?--) (--?--). Coleson Townsend married Catherine Haynes on 13 May 1803 at Warren Co., Kentucky. Coleson Townsend died circa 1810 at Warren Co., Kentucky.
     
Biography of Coleson Townsend:

Coleson Townsend is first found on the 2 Apr 1802 Tax list as one of two tithable males age 16-21 reported in the household of Light Townsend in the Warren Co. KY Tax List. He is next found as Coleson Townsend on the 17 Apr 1803 list and as a male of tithable age (21 or older) in his own right. Based on these dates we deduce that Coleson was born circa 1783 near Hilson's Bay in Marlboro District, South Carolina as that is where his father was at the time.

Warren Co., Kentucky, marriage record, 19 Dec 1812: Mrs. Catherine Townsend and John Elmore, both over 21.

Coleson Townsend probably died c1810 in Warren Co., Kentucky. He is not found in 1810 U.S. census for Warren Co., Kentucky.

The three grandchildren, Sally, Betsy and Polly Townsend, named in Light Townsend's will, Nov 1817 term of court, Warren Co., Kentucky, Will Book 1:171, are probably children of Coleson Townsend and Catherine Haynes.

     Columbus C. Townsend was born in June 1883 at Alachua Co., Florida.¹ He was the son of Christopher Columbus Townsend and Mary Cornelia Tillman.

     Columbus Light Townsend was born on 9 December 1829 at Jefferson Co., Florida.¹ He was the son of Isaac Townsend and Hester Ann Keaton.

     Constantia Townsend was born circa 1852 at Marlboro Co., South Carolina.¹ She was the daughter of Benjamin Townsend and Mary W. Brown.

     Daisey Townsend was born on 2 January 1871. She was the daughter of Walter A. Townsend and Anne J. (--?--). Daisey Townsend died in 1878.

     Dalton was born on 15 March 1929 at Lafayette Co., Florida.¹ He was the son of Alford Townsend and Hattie Louise Wilson. He married Catherine Clyatt, , circa 1960.¹ Dalton died on 8 May 1999 at Lafayette Co., Florida, at age 70.

     Daniel B. Townsend was born on 8 June 1885 at Alachua Co., Florida.¹ He was the son of Christopher Columbus Townsend and Mary Cornelia Tillman. Daniel B. Townsend died on 14 November 1956 at age 71.² He was buried at Townsend Cemetery, Hawthorne, Alachua Co., Florida.²

     Daniel S. Townsend was born circa 1877 at Lafayette Co., Florida.¹ He was the son of Thomas O. Townsend and Elizabeth A. Smith. Daniel S. Townsend married Daisy (--?--) circa 1895.²

     David Townsend was born circa 1867 at New Troy, Lafayette Co., Florida.¹ He was the son of Benjamin I. Townsend and Elizabeth Ganey. David Townsend died on 19 July 1884 at Maypop Cemetery, Lafayette Co., Florida.² He was buried at Maypop Cemetery, Lafayette Co., Florida.

     David was born on 8 October 1858 at Madison Co., Florida. He was the son of Benjamin Franklin Townsend and Martha M. E. Rykard. He married Roxana Calhoun, , on 29 February 1888 at Madison Co., Florida.¹ David died on 22 June 1935 at age 76.² His body was buried in June 1935 at Pine Grove Church Cemetery, Madison Co., Florida.
