     Ned was born circa 1877 at Washington Co., Georgia.¹ He was the son of Henry C. Tompkins and Lucy (--?--).

     Needham was born on 30 May 1857 at Washington Co., Georgia.¹ He was the son of Robert T. Tompkins and Laura Louisa Jane Brock. He married Nora Womble, , on 26 October 1897 at Washington Co., Georgia.²

     Newton Lemuel Tompkins was born on 2 September 1886 at Hunt Co., Texas.¹ He was the son of George Newton Tompkins and Susan Tanner. Newton Lemuel Tompkins married Bera M Flanagan.¹ Newton Lemuel Tompkins died on 11 November 1955 at Brown Co., Texas, at age 69.¹

     Nonie was born circa 1875 at Washington Co., Georgia.¹ She was the daughter of John A. Tompkins and Martha Holton. She married H. A. Fowler, , on 27 December 1892 at Washington Co., Georgia.²

     Ollie was born on 22 March 1924 at Lafayette Co., Florida. She was the daughter of John Paul Tompkins and Vertna May Hamlin. Ollie died on 29 August 1924 at Lafayette Co., Florida. Her body was buried in August 1924 at Airline Cemetery, Lafayette Co., Florida.

     Onie was born in September 1897 at Suwannee Co., Florida.¹ She was the daughter of Thomas C. Tompkins and Mary Casteline Barnes. She married Stephen Green, . Onie died on 13 November 1917 at Hamilton Co., Florida, at age 20. Her body was buried at Corinth Cemetery, Hamilton Co., Florida.²

     Oscar was born in 1908 at Washington Co., Georgia.¹ He was the son of William Thomas Tompkins and Willie Heath. He married Christine Elizabeth Tanner, daughter of Early Benton Tanner Sr. and Gertrude S. Scott, on 20 July 1929 at Washington Co., Georgia.² Oscar Kelly Tompkins married Lannie Mae Tanner, daughter of Lether Erastus "Rassie" Tanner and Nora Neel Partridge, circa 1931 at Washington Co.., Georgia.³ Oscar Kelly Tompkins died in 1961 at Washington Co.., Georgia. He was buried at Bay Springs Methodist Chr. Cem, Washington Co., Georgia.⁴

     Outlaw was born in 1905 at Washington Co., Georgia.¹ He was the son of William Thomas Tompkins and Willie Heath.

     Partin was born circa 1775 at South Carolina.² He was the son of Samuel Tompkins and Elizabeth Partin. He married Elizabeth (--?--), , circa 1803 at Washington Co., Georgia. Partin died before 1860 at Covington Co., Alabama.
     
Biography of Partin Tompkins:

The earliest records we have found on Partin is his getting one draw in the 1805 Washington County Georgia land lottery.³ He did not receive any land. However, one had to have been a bachelor, over 21 and a resident of the state for one year to be entitled to one draw. Thus Partin was not married until after 1803 when the lottery act was approved.

Rebecca Burn's, a descendant of Partin's has found records she believes to be his. They are:

1. Entered the Georgia Militia in August 1813 under Capt. Irving's Regiment of Mounted Men in the War of 1812.

2. Discharged from the Georgia Militia in March 1814.

3. Entered Ga. Militia December 1817 Under Capt. Sessions and Lewis in the Indian War and was discharged at Milledgeville, Georgia in August 1818.

No record of a Partin Tompkins was found in the 1820 Georgia Census. Perhaps he was still in the military at that time and/or was not counted. This is strange as Partin was surely living in the area of Washington County. Georgia.

Partin is listed in the 1828 Tax Digest of Washington County Georgia⁴. These records suggest that Partin and his family resided in Washington County from before 1805 until 1828.

Partin Tompkins, age 50-60, is listed as head of household in the 1830 Randolph County, Georgia Census.⁵ On December 23, 1830, after the census, this area became part of Stewart Co., Georgia. These records suggests that Partin and his family moved into Randolph/Stewart Co. Georgia between 1828 and 1830. In 1830, his family consists of 6 male children age 0 to 30 and two female children, one 10-15, one 20-30, and his wife age, 40-50.

Partin Tompkins is found listed with Samuel Tompkins on the June 1831 Petit Jury list for the first Superior Court of Stewart County Georgia⁶

On 7 October 1835 William Tate sold to Partin Tompkins Lot 148 in the 20th District consisting of 202 1/2 acres. ⁷

On 10 February 1836 Mathew Wright & John D. Newberry sold land to Partin Tompkins. ⁸

Partin and his family is next found in the 1840 Census of Stewart County Georgia as having four male children and one female child as well as a wife.

On 2 April 1842 P. Tompkins sold land to E. T. Beall.⁹This is the last deed we were able to find on Partin which suggest that removed to Alabama about 1842.

Partin and his family next appear in the 1850 Census of Covington County Alabama² where Partin, age 75 born in South Carolina living with Elizabeth, age 67, also born in South Carolina and Stephen age 41 born in Georgia, Nancy age 39 born in Georgia. Samuel Tompkins, age 75, born in North Carolina is living next door. We know that Samuel Tompkins left Stewart Co. Georgia about 1841 and because Partin is on the tax defaulter list for 1841 we suspect he and his family also left about that time for Covington County Alabama.

There is no listing for Partin in the 1860 Alabama Census so we suspect he may have died by that time.

     Partin was born circa 1802 at Jefferson Co., Georgia.¹ He was the son of John Tompkins and Mary Parsons. He married Adaline Ponder, daughter of Ephraim Ponder and Ellen (--?--), on 17 March 1842 at Jefferson Co., Georgia.² Partin died in 1854 at Louisville, Jefferson Co., Georgia.
