     Elta Lorene Tompkins was born on 21 July 1908 at Celeste, Hunt Co., Texas.1 She was the daughter of Partin Columbus Tompkins and Julia Ann Americus Millican. Elta Lorene Tompkins married Waymon Julius Hyde, son of Robert David Hyde and Dora McWilliams, in 1926. Elta Lorene Tompkins died on 28 May 1979 at Greenville, Hunt Co., Texas, at age 70. She was buried in 1979 at Merit Cemetery, Hunt Co., Texas.

     Erma was born on 25 January 1900.1 She was the daughter of William Elijah Tompkins and Eliza Josephine Applewhite. She married John Kelly Walker, son of Duran William Walker and Jincy Rachel Green. Erma died in January 1994 at Grenada Co., Mississippi.
     
Biography of Erma Tompkins:

Erma lived 94 years with no real health problems and was able to live alone until the last few years of her life. She enjoyed reading and needlework such as crocheting, tatting and quilting. [per Jancie Bays]
