His body was buried at Roberts Cemetery, Miller Co., Georgia.
     
Biography of Joseph Clarence Sheffield:

The burial plot of Joseph Clarence Sheffield, 1st wife, Margaret Houston Sheffield, and 2nd wife Catherine Everett Sheffield and baby was refurbished and brought up to date with new granite coping, gravel filled and new headstones erected in 1996. Clarence and Margaret's daughter Ida Lois Sheffield Davis lovingly gave this as a tribute to the memory of her parents.
