     Mary was born on 11 July 1882 at Celeste, Hunt, Texas, United States.¹ She was the daughter of Partin Columbus Tompkins and Julia Ann Americus Millican. She married William R. Alderson, on 11 March 1900.¹ Mary died on 23 February 1955 at age 72.
