     Walter Floyd Sample was born in May 1892 at Missouri. He was the son of James Henry Sample and Georgana McClanahan. Walter Floyd Sample married Lula Caplinger on 7 April 1918 at Springfield, Greene Co., Missouri; divorce.
     
Biography of Walter Floyd Sample:

Dorothy Lea Sample Bridges, Springfield, Missouri, said that Walter Floyd disappeared as a young man. He is listed in the 1915, 1917 and 1919 Springfield, Missouri, City Directory; in 1919 living with his wife, Lula, at the same address as his mother, Georgana Sample, 1918 Howard, working for the Springfield Gas and Electric Company. The Springfield Republican newspaper shows that he was married to Lula Caplinger, April 7, 1918, in Green County, Missouri. In the 1920 U.S. census Soundex, Lula Sample is living with her grandfather, John Caplinger, 435 West Pine, Springfield, Missouri.

     Washington Sample was born on 18 September 1846 at Morgan Co., Illinois. He was the son of Jacob Sample and Mary B. "Polly" Hooser. Washington Sample married Mary Fanny Miller on 13 March 1889. Washington Sample married Rebecca A. Sample, daughter of Washington Sample and Sarah Petty. Washington Sample died on 20 January 1911 at Morgan Co., Illinois, at age 64. He was buried at Youngblood Cemetery, Nortonville, Morgan Co., Illinois.

     Washington Sample was born on 21 March 1809 at Kentucky or Madison Co., Illinois. He was the son of David Sample and Mary "Polly" Townsend. Washington Sample married Sarah Petty on 26 February 1830 at Morgan Co., Illinois. Washington Sample died on 8 July 1881 at Morgan Co., Illinois, at age 72. He was buried at Rogers Cemetery, Morgan Co., Illinois.

Note: The 1880 census, enumerated 10 Jun 1880, contains the entry "Thrown from buggy" for Washington Samples. Presumably he was suffering from injuries sustained in the accident.¹

     Wendell Roscoe Sample was born on 6 November 1895 at Girard, Macoupin Co., Illinois. He was the son of William Robert Sample and Armilda M. Clevenger. Wendell Roscoe Sample married Essie Irene Miller on 1 June 1921 at Girard, Macoupin Co., Illinois. Wendell Roscoe Sample died on 6 August 1955 at age 59. He was buried at Union Chapel Cemetery, North Otter Twp., Macoupin Co, Illinois.

     Wesley Holland Sample was born in June 1875 at Illinois. He was the son of John N. Sample and Rebecca Skinner. Wesley Holland Sample married Ida May Taylor circa 1896 at probably Harrison Co., Missouri. Wesley Holland Sample died on 14 January 1956 at Des Moines, Polk Co., Iowa, at age 80.

     Will Sample was the son of Andrew Jackson Sample and Jane Taylor.

     William Sample was born in November 1887. He was the son of Samuel Moore Sample Sr. and Lucy (--?--).

     William Sample was born on 14 November 1830 at Morgan Co., Illinois. He was the son of John Sample and Sarah "Sally" Pruitt. William Sample married Mary L. Happy on 14 August 1856. William Sample died on 21 August 1878 at Morgan Co., Illinois, at age 47.

     William Sample was born in 1851. He was the son of James Sample and Ellen Tunney.
