     Nancy Estelle Sample was born on 18 May 1892 at Morgan Co., Illinois. She was the daughter of Washington Sample and Mary Fanny Miller. Nancy Estelle Sample married Virgil Edwards. Nancy Estelle Sample married Vernon Bounds. Nancy Estelle Sample died on 10 June 1939 at Greene Co., Illinois, at age 47. She was buried at Athensville, Green Co., Illinois.

     Nellie Lee Sample was born in November 1905 at Kansas. She was the daughter of James Henry Sample and Georgana McClanahan. Nellie Lee Sample died in 1953.
     
Biography of Nellie Lee Sample:

Nellie Lee Sample never married. She and her mother moved to St. Louis, Missouri, where Nellie took training at Baptist Hospital to be a registered nurse; they lived at 5525 Enright, University City, Missouri. Nellie died and is buried in the Kansas City area, possibly Overland Park, Kansas.¹

     Newton Leroy Sample was born in 1888 at Hale Co., Texas. He was the son of John William Sample and Sevilla Viola Sampson. Newton Leroy Sample married Mary Elizabeth Allen circa 1910 at Cherokee Co., Kansas; They were married at the home of Hardin Thomas Bowers and Sarah Ann Sample Bowers about three miles north of Baxter Springs, Kansas. Newton Leroy Sample died on 11 November 1918. He was buried in November 1918 at Pleasant View Cemetery, Spring Valley Twp., Cherokee Co., Kansas.

     Olive Sample was born in 1860. She was the daughter of John Sample Jr. and Sarah Scofield. Olive Sample married William A. Ward on 16 March 1881.

     Patricia Lanell Sample was born on 30 April 1934 at Swisher Co., Texas. She was the daughter of James Hobson Dewey Sample and Emma Frances Elleanora Vaughan. Patricia Lanell Sample died on 2 May 1934 at Texas. She was buried at Happy, Swisher Co., Texas.

     Pearl Lulu Sample was born on 21 March 1883 at Missouri.² She was the daughter of Horace B. Sample and Mary E. Johnston. Pearl Lulu Sample married John McDonal Brown in 1904 at Trinidad, California.² Pearl Lulu Sample died on 26 November 1960 at Butte Falls, Butte Co., California, at age 77.²

     Philip Sample was born circa 1858 at Iowa. He was the son of George W. Sample and Harriet K. Garrett.

     Phoebe Sample was born on 16 February 1847 at Morgan Co., Illinois. She was the daughter of William A. Sample and Harriet Moore. Phoebe Sample married William Bagby on 8 September 1869. Phoebe Sample died on 8 November 1901 at age 54.

     Ralph Sample was born in December 1879. He was the son of John M. Sample and Lizzie Braden.

     Rebecca A. Sample was born on 1 November 1850 at Illinois. She was the daughter of Washington Sample and Sarah Petty. Rebecca A. Sample married Washington Sample, son of Jacob Sample and Mary B. "Polly" Hooser. Rebecca A. Sample died on 11 May 1882 at age 31.
