He married Frances Elizabeth Harrell, , in 1885.¹ Charles died on 12 February 1935 at age 77. His body was buried at Leila Methodist Church Cemetery, Omega, Colquitt Co., Georgia.

     Charlie was born in 1886.¹ He was the son of Daniel George Washington Powell and Susan William Jeff Davis Thompson. He married Cora E. Baker, .¹

     Christopher was born on 27 October 1804 at Edgefield Co., South Carolina. He married Cyrene Brannen, daughter of William Brannen and Elizabeth (--?--), on 12 January 1825 at Jasper Co., Georgia.¹ Christopher died on 18 February 1882 at Elmore Co., Alabama, at age 77. His body was buried at Kimbrell Cemetery, Santuck, Elmore Co., Alabama.

     Daniel was born on 18 August 1859 at Lee Co., Georgia.¹ He was the son of David B. Powell and Sarah Clifton Kelly. He married Susan William Jeff Davis Thompson, , on 5 November 1884 at Colquitt Co., Georgia.¹ Daniel died on 22 December 1943 at age 84. His body was buried at Leila Methodist Church Cemetery, Omega, Colquitt Co., Georgia.

     David was born on 8 June 1817 at Georgia.¹ He married Sarah Clifton Kelly, daughter of Charles R. Kelly and Elizabeth Wiley, on 10 November 1847 at Randolph Co., Georgia.² David died on 11 January 1890 at Colquitt Co., Georgia, at age 72. His body was buried at Leila Methodist Church Cemetery, Omega, Colquitt Co., Georgia.
     
Biography of David B. Powell:

An undated sheet about the family of David B. Powell was given to those who attended a Powell Family reunion about 1987. I do not know who the author was but wish that I did so I could give them credit for writing it. Someone has told me in the past that Nathan O. L. Powell is responsible for writing it, but I do not know for sure. The following is quoted from that sheet. "David B. Powell bought 3 lots of land, lot no. 66, 73, and 74, in the ninth land district of Colquitt County and paid for it with confederate money. He later bought lot no. 65." "Colquitt County was only six years old when the Powell family moved here. After moving to Colquitt County, David B. Powell served in the Confederate Army during the Civil War. There were only three families living in the northeast corner of Colquitt County at that time; the J. R. M. Lindsey family, the Flournoy Clark family, and the David Powell family." David B. Powell owned three slaves, whom he brought with him to Colquitt County. Daivd and Sarah Powell were
charter members of Leila Methodist Church. The first church was built on land he owned, and he was instrumental in the organization and continued operation of this church." There were no cotton gins in this area of Georgia, when the Powells moved here. They had to pick the seed from the cotton by hand, then spin the cotton into thread, and weave it into cloth to make the clothes they wore." "There was no store or trading post nearer than Albany, Georgia. There they went to purchase their supplies. This chore took three days, twice each year. Two horses were hitched to a covered wagon to travel to Albany, about 45 mile away, one day traveling to Albany, one day shopping, and one day returning home. No salt could be purchased at the trading post. The family used the covered wagon to travel to the Gulf of Mexico. They carried a large kettle to boil the sea water from the Gulf. The water evaporated, leaving the salt residue, which they brought home, to season their food and cure their meat." [Walter McFarland, Jr.]

     David was born on 20 July 1894 at Ty Ty, Colquitt Co., Georgia.¹ He was the son of James Ezekiel Powell and Julia Missouri Harrell. He married Hattie Belle Green, . David died on 18 June 1982 at Tifton, Tift Co., Georgia, at age 87. His body was buried at Leila Methodist Church Cemetery, Omega, Colquitt Co., Georgia.

     Elizabeth was born on 13 August 1848 at Lee Co., Georgia.¹ She was the daughter of David B. Powell and Sarah Clifton Kelly. She married Levi T. Green, , on 7 November 1896 at Colquitt Co., Georgia.² Elizabeth died on 25 December 1925 at age 77. Her body was buried at Leila Methodist Church Cemetery, Omega, Colquitt Co., Georgia.

     Emmitt was born in 1888. He was the son of Daniel George Washington Powell and Susan William Jeff Davis Thompson.
