Asa Bullard was a Master Mason and was listed as a farmer/stone mason on census records. After the Civil War he moved to Wright Twp. of Ottawa County, Michigan. He lived on 40 acres of land in the very northwest corner of Section 10 of Wright Township. His Post Office address was Reno in 1893. He and his wife, Jane are buried in Big Springs Cemetery, about one mile north of where they lived.

The services were conducted by the Rev. D. Shorts, pastor of the Methodist Church, assisted by the Rev. Anna S. Leggett of the Bushville Church, who also sang a selection at the grave. The bearers were Eugene Wrigley of Buffalo, Stephen Underhill of Rochester, Howard Isaac of Batavia and James Jones of Elba, all her grandsons..

     Frances was born on 22 September 1843. She married James Harvey Weeks, son of William Henry Weeks and Susannah Sheffield, on 24 September 1862 at Adams, Berkshire, Massachusetts, United States.¹ Frances died on 29 March 1909 at age 65. She died of tuberculosis. She died at her home.. Her body was buried at Maple Lawn Cemetery, Elba, Genesee, New York, United States.

     Biography of Viola Melvina Wicks:
She was educated in the district schools, Cary Collegiate Seminary at Oakfield, NY, Oakwood Quaker Seminary, then at Union Springs, NY and later located at Poughkeepsie, NY. She taught school for several years before her marriage. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church at Elba, the Ladies Aid Society and the Missionary Society. and had been teacher of the Parker Class of the Sunday School for 15 years. She was also a member of the Batavia Chapter, # 267, Order of the Eastern Star, The Republican County Committee and a charter member of the Elba Grange. In 1925 Viola was living with her son James and was listed on the census as a restaurnateur.

     Susannah was born on 28 May 1864 at Elba, Genesee, New York, United States.¹ She was the daughter of Stephen Ackley Wicks and Christiana Haight. Susannah died on 24 January 1941 at age 76. She died of a cerbral hemorrahage.. Her body was buried at Maple Lawn Cemetery, Elba, Genesee, New York, United States.

     Mary was born on 21 March 1867 at Elba, Genesee, New York, United States.¹ She was the daughter of Stephen Ackley Wicks and Christiana Haight.

     William was born on 5 December 1872 at Elba, Genesee, New York, United States.¹ He was the son of Stephen Ackley Wicks and Christiana Haight. William died on 13 October 1927 at Batavia, Genesee, New York, United States, at age 54. Rev. Ernest W. Collings, pastor of the Methodist Episcopal church, officiated at the burial in Elmwood Cemetery, Batavia, NY- The bearers were Harry W. Driber, John A. Will, Ray B. Gowing, A. Edward Hanns, Harry Lapp and George Miller all of Batavia, NY. He died of heart failure.. His body was buried on 15 October 1927 at Elmwood Cemetery, Batavia, Genesee, New York, United States.

He was employed by the former Baker Gen &Forging Co. for a time and then went into the automobile accessories business. In his business he was a partner of Ray B. Gowing and later of John A Will. He was a member of Batavia lodge #475, F&AM, Batavia Chapter - RAM, a life member of Batavia lodge of the Elks, and a member of Batavia lodge #107-IOOF.
