     Bessie was born on 26 April 1902 at Terlington, Freestone Co., Texas. She was the daughter of John Orville Nicholas and Agnes Gertrude Black. She married Jesse Orren Hardie, son of James Elbert Hardie and Mary Lou Mayo, on 14 September 1919 at Freestone Co., Texas.

     Mary Frances Nix was born in 1867.¹ She married Horace Hancock, son of Henry William Hancock and Sarah Caroline Townsend.¹ Mary Frances Nix died in 1936.¹

     He married Mary Smith, daughter of Elisha H. Smith and Virtuous Donaldson, circa 1841 at Newton Co., Georgia.¹ Thomas died in 1854 at Alabama.²

     Margaret Nixon was born on 24 December 1846 at Washington Co., Ohio. She married John N. Sample, son of Aaron Sample and Anna W. Boyer, on 31 January 1869 at Macoupin Co., Illinois. Margaret Nixon died on 28 January 1874 at Christian Co., Illinois, at age 27.
