     Mitchell was born on 2 December 1918 at Douglas, Coffee Co., Georgia.¹ He married Nadine Bush, daughter of Alexander Isaac Bush and Willie Clyde Newberry, on 18 April 1938.¹ Mitchell died on 5 September 1994 at Lakeland, Polk Co., Florida, at age 75. His body was buried at Glen Abbey Cemetery, Auburndale, Polk Co., Florida.²

Hilda Barrington Brannon, age 94, of Live Oak, Florida passed away Monday

afternoon, May 9, 2011 at Community Hospice Hadlow Center in Jacksonville, Fla.

following a lengthy illness. The Mayo, Fla. native lived most of her life in

Mayo, Fla., before moving to Live Oak, Fla. in 2009. She was a homemaker and loved

working in her yard which was so beautiful it looked like something out of a

Southern Living magazine. She also loved to cook and always had plenty for

anyone who stopped by. One of her specialties was chicken and rice. Hilda was a

member of the Luraville Baptist Church.

She was predeceased by her husband, Julian Brannon, son Donald Brannon and a

grandson, Jay Underwood.

Survivors include her daughter, Linda Underwood, Jacksonville, Fla; one grandson,

Barry (Jodie) Underwood; three great-grandchildren, Luke Underwood, Wesley

Underwood and Kate Underwood.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the services from 9 to 10 a.m.

with the services at 10 a.m., Thursday, May 12, 2011 at the Luraville Baptist

Church with Rev. Dwight Bishop officiating. Interment will follow in the New

Harmony Methodist Church cemetery.

     Vida Barron was born on 30 October 1895 at Yula, Florida. She married David Solomon Waters, son of John Henry Waters and Augustine Florida "Teen" Townsend, on 25 October 1911.¹ Vida Barron died on 3 April 1985 at age 89. She was buried at Newnansville Cemetery, Alachua Co., Florida.

     He married Opal Colvin, daughter of William Abraham Colvin and Lalah Kelly, on 30 November 1925.¹ George died on 14 March 1984.

     Penelope Laura Barrow was born in 1825.¹ She married John Blackstone Standley, son of John Blackstone Standley and Zelpha Townsend, on 2 January 1839 at Alachua Co., Florida.¹ Penelope Laura Barrow died in 1885.¹

     Betty was born on 8 October 1943 at Taylor Co., Florida. She was the daughter of James C. Barrs and Lonnie Davis. Betty died on 16 September 1944 at Taylor Co., Florida. Her body was buried at Woodlawn Cemetery, Perry, Taylor Co., Florida.¹
