Biography of Archibald Lightsey:

Archibald Lightsey enlisted on 8 March 1862 as a Private in the Confederate Army in Company G, of the 5th Infantry Regiment of Florida. He took the Oath of Allegiance on 15 Aug 1864. Archibald and his family moved from Jefferson County, Florida in the 1870’s to Grimes County, Texas where they resided in 1880.
