He married Faye Freeland, .¹ John died on 22 November 1980 at Sebring, Highlands Co., Florida, at age 56. His body was buried in November 1980 at Pinecrest Cemetery, Sebring, Highlands Co., Florida.

     John was born on 3 August 1849. He was the son of John Washington Johnson and Lydia Amanda Miller. He married Henrietta Paul, daughter of Jeremiah Paul and Elizabeth Hardie, on 24 August 1871 at Randolph Co., Georgia.¹ John died on 27 February 1918 at age 68.²

According to the "Widow's Application for Pension": Mrs Pheaby Johnson further swears that her said husband John W. Johnson was killed at Ellavile, Madison, Florida by a Negrew deserter on the 27th day of July 1870 by being shot by the said negrew who the Sheriff was persuing. The Negrew taking John W. Johnson for the Sheriff shot him as aforesaid.

In her second application for Pension, Phoebe gave her husbands death as July 22, 1870. She was 72 at this time and 66 the first time she gave his death date.

He married Bessie Irene Strickland, , on 22 September 1933 at Phenix City, Russell Co., Alabama.¹ John died on 5 April 1976 at Phenix City, Russell Co., Alabama, at age 74.      Laura was born on 21 September 1876 at San Jacinto Co., Texas. She was the daughter of Andrew Jackson Johnson and Nancy Caroline Windham. She married Wilson Bruce Carroll, son of Wilson Rufus Carroll and Nancy Ann Hester, on 12 May 1895 at Point Blank, San Jacinto Co., Texas. Laura died on 12 July 1960 at Houston, Harris Co., Texas, at age 83. Her body was buried in July 1960 at Oklahoma Cemetery, Tomball, Texas.

     Leah was born on 30 August 1974. She was the daughter of R. L. Johnson and Deborah Walker. Leah died on 30 May 1990 at Jefferson Co., Florida, at age 15. Her body was buried at Philadelphia Cemetery, Suwannee Co., Florida.
