     Elisabeth was born circa 1921 at Shadyside, Belmont Co., Ohio.¹ She was the daughter of Victor Ambrose Ankenbrand and Theresa Wolf. She married John Augustus Vogelpohl, , on 23 July 1938 at Shadyside, Belmont Co., Ohio. Elisabeth died on 30 July 1990 at Orlando, Orange Co., Florida.

     George was born circa 1865 at Bavaria, Germany. He married (?) Weigand, . George died at Bavaria, Germany.

     Loretta was born on 1 March 1922 at Shadyside, Belmont Co., Ohio.¹ She was the daughter of Victor Ambrose Ankenbrand and Theresa Wolf. Loretta died on 17 March 1993 at Cambridge, Ohio, at age 71. Her body was buried on 30 March 1993 at Rock Hill Cemetery, Bellaire, Belmont Co., Ohio.

     Victor was born on 21 November 1887 at Bavaria, Germany.¹ He was the son of George Ankenbrand and (?) Weigand. He married Theresa Wolf, daughter of Elizabeth (--?--), circa 1919 at Belmont Co., Ohio. Victor died on 20 January 1940 at Ohio River at age 52. His body was buried at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Bellaire, Belmont Co., Ohio.
     
Biography of Victor Ambrose Ankenbrand:

Ambrose arrived New York, 24 June 1913 aboard the SS Kronprinz Wilhelm sailing from Bremen, Germany, 7 June 1913. He was at age 26, apparently traveling alone. He listed his place of birth and last residence at Hochat, Bavaria. He listed his destination as being his Uncle, Rev. Weigand, 2212-20 N. 29th St., Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Ambrose also listed his father, George Ankenbrand, of Schonfra, Bavaria as his nearest relative and as Schonfra as his place of birth. We were not able to determine where Schonfra is located on modern maps of Germany. It is clearly, somewhere in the vicinity of Wurzberg, Germany as Ambrose indicated he was born in Wutzberg, Bavaria, Germany in the 1930 Census.

In the 1920 census Ambrose and Thresa were living in Bridgeport, Ohio. He listed his occupation as a laborer in the steel mill. In 1920, they and their three daughters were living in Shadyside, Ohio on Tennyson St. He listed his occuption as a coal miner.

     Mary Ann was born at Washington Co., Georgia. She married Joseph Tanner.¹ Mary Ann died at Washington Co., Georgia. She was buried at Tabernacle Methodist Church Cemetery, Washington Co., Georgia.

     She married Thomas Burton Webb, son of Thomas Mitchell Webb and Amanda Melvina Jones, on 22 October 1920.¹

     Vilma Anthony was born on 31 October 1910 at Summerfield, Florida.¹ She married Virgil Light Townsend, son of James Light Townsend and Annie Rebecca Bell, on 27 February 1944.¹

     Thomas was born in 1839. He married Sarah Elizabeth Tompkins, daughter of Edwin W. Tompkins and Lucinda Randolph, on 3 March 1891 at Covington Co., Alabama.¹

     Eliza was born on 30 November 1876 at Mississippi.¹ She was the daughter of Virginius Barney Applewhite and Sarah Cornelia Smith. She married William Elijah Tompkins, son of James A. Tompkins and Mary Frances Oliver, on 23 December 1896. Eliza died on 27 November 1962 at age 85.

     Virginius was born on 13 September 1853. He married Sarah Cornelia Smith, .¹ Virginius died on 7 July 1908 at Carroll Co., Mississippi, at age 54. His body was buried at Applewhite Cemetery, Carroll Co., Mississippi.
