     James was born on 30 January 1861 at Lumpkin, Stewart Co., Georgia. He was the son of James Eldridge Hardie and Nancy L. Shamblin. He married Mary Lou Mayo, daughter of Gideon Mayo and Charlotte Ann Hardie, on 28 April 1888 at Stewart Co., Georgia. James died in 1933.

     James was born on 27 September 1835 at Stewart Co., Georgia.¹ He was the son of William M. Hardie and Lavisa Cornelia Perkins. He married Nancy L. Shamblin, daughter of James M. Shamblin and Elmira Holder, on 25 December 1859 at Stewart Co., Georgia.¹ James died on 17 September 1862 at Sharpsburg, Washington Co., Maryland, at age 26.² His body was buried at Antietam Battlfield, Sharpsburg, Maryland.

     Jesse was born in June 1822 at Georgia. He was the son of William M. Hardie and Elizabeth (--?--). Jesse died in August 1822 at Georgia at age 0.¹

     Jesse was born circa 1841 at Georgia.¹ He was the son of Allen Hardie and Sarah Leslie.

     Jesse was born on 7 July 1891 at Shanks Community, Freestone Co., Texas. He was the son of James Elbert Hardie and Mary Lou Mayo. He married Bessie Cheba Nicholas, daughter of John Orville Nicholas and Agnes Gertrude Black, on 14 September 1919 at Freestone Co., Texas. Jesse died on 1 March 1983 at Dallas, Dallas Co., Texas, at age 91. His body was buried in March 1983 at Shanks Cemetert, Freestone Co., Texas.

     Joel was born circa 1832 at Wilkinson Co., Georgia.¹ He was the son of Allen Hardie and Sarah Leslie.

     John was born on 4 December 1823 at Butler, Talbot Co., Georgia.¹ He was the son of William M. Hardie and Lavisa Cornelia Perkins. John died on 27 November 1837 at Stewart Co., Georgia, at age 13.

Hardie.
John and a companion, an 8 year old boy of a neighbor family, went hunting in wooded area near Lumpkin, Georgia when a large black panther leaped from a tree on the his back and began clawing and biting him. He could not turn his gun on the cat and screamed for help. The younger boy was terribly aftraid so he ran to get help instead of helping John himself. When he returned with help, John had been killed, (horribly chewed, scratched and mutilated by the panther). [Hahn - Hardie Family Records].

     Laura was born circa 1860 at Quitman, Brooks Co., Georgia. She was the daughter of William M. Hardie Jr. and Elizabeth E. Kolb.

     Laura was born on 7 June 1891 at Arkansas. She was the daughter of Harmon Duggan Hardie and Elizia Virginia Hale. She married George Wilmoth Chesshir, , on 19 November 1909.¹

     Lavisa was born on 22 March 1844 at Stewart Co., Georgia.¹ She was the daughter of William M. Hardie and Lavisa Cornelia Perkins. She married William A. Goree, son of John C. Goree and Mary Jane Thornton, on 10 February 1867 at Stewart Co., Georgia.¹ Lavisa died in August 1908 at Hardeman Co., Texas, at age 64.
