     Colby Donaldson was the son of James D. Donaldson and Dicie Ficklin.

     Edmund was born on 4 June 1863 at Hacoda, Coffee Co., Alabama. He was the son of Joseph S. Donaldson and Nancy K. Beard. He married Kate Phipps, .¹ He married Mollie Berry, .¹ Edmund died circa 1948.
     
Biography of Edmund J. Donaldson:

"Edmund Jackson Donaldson was married two times, his first wife died after they had raised some children, her first name was Kate (Phipps) but I don't know who she was before she married. He had two daughters by that wife, who burned to death in a buildings that housed the telephone exchange. I never did know what year that was. His last wife divorced him, her name was Mollie, they had one son named E.J. that was my age and was raised around SeIma. Ala. his where abouts now I do not know.      Elizabeth Donaldson was born circa 1828 at Georgia.¹ She married James Madison Tompkins, son of John Tompkins and Mary Parsons, on 14 May 1846 at Washington Co., Georgia.¹

     Elza was born circa 1890 at Alabama. He was the son of Sarah Sallie Donaldson.

Biography of Francis Marion Donaldson:

"Francis Marion Donaldson married and settled close to
Moundville, Ala. not far from Tuscaloosa. I don't know his wifes
name and I saw two of his children in 1925 or 1926, but I don't
remember their names, but I have heard my late father call some of
their names. Luther and Harry are the two that I heard him talk about. Francis Marion Donaldson died on his 80th birthday, but I don't know the year. (1939) Some of his children is still living."
