His body was buried on 30 January 1934 at Pine Grove Church Cemetery, Madison Co., Florida.3

William was a prominent and life long citizen of the Hanson area of Madison County, Florida. He died of a heart attack, at age 71, at his home near Hanson. He is buried in Pine Grove Church Cemetery next to his wife.
