     William was born circa 1860 at Barnwell Co., South Carolina.¹ He was the son of Wilson Rufus Carroll and Nancy Ann Hester. He married Mary Hamilton, , on 7 July 1881 at San Jacinto Co., Texas.² William died circa 1912 at Texas.

     William was born on 7 January 1891 at Suwannee Co., Florida. He was the son of Barney Andrew Carroll and Mary Jane Mixson. He married Annie Pearl Neveils, daughter of William A. Neveils and Ann Jowers, on 2 October 1910 at Suwannee Co., Florida.¹ He married Susan Chestnut, .¹ William died on 17 December 1959 at Suwannee Co., Florida, at age 68. His body was buried in December 1959 at Mt. Olive Church of Christ Cemetery, Suwannee Co., Florida.²

     Willie Carroll was the son of William Rufus Carroll and Mary Hamilton.

     Willie was born on 14 December 1876 at Coldsprings, San Jacinto Co., Texas.¹ He was the son of Henry Carroll and Malinda Gibson. He married Minnie Lola Laskie, , on 23 December 1908 at Pine Prairie, Walker Co., Texas.¹ Willie died on 24 November 1949 at Pine Prairie, Walker Co., Texas, at age 72. His body was buried at Pine Prairie Cemetery, Huntsville, Texas.

     Willie was born on 8 October 1919 at Pine Prairie, Walker Co., Texas.¹ He was the son of Willie Lee Carroll and Minnie Lola Laskie. Willie Lee Carroll died on 28 December 1996 at age 77.²

     Wilson was born circa 1870 at Barnwell Co., South Carolina.¹ He was the son of Edward Walton Carroll and Mary Ann Elizabeth Neville. He married Samantha Anderson, .²

     Wilson was born on 2 March 1877 at San Jacinto Co., Texas. He was the son of Wilson Rufus Carroll and Nancy Ann Hester. He married Laura Virginia Johnson, daughter of Andrew Jackson Johnson and Nancy Caroline Windham, on 12 May 1895 at Point Blank, San Jacinto Co., Texas. Wilson died on 25 December 1909 at Oakhurst, San Jacinto Co., Texas, at age 32. His body was buried in December 1909 at Center Hill Cemetery, San Jacinto Co., Texas.

Biography of Wilson Rufus Carroll:

"Wilson Rufus Carroll was born 13 January 1842 in South Carolina. On 12 May, 1861 he enlisted in the Confederate Army in Granitville, Edgefield County, South Carolina and served to the end of the war."

"After the war he and his wife, Nancy Ann Hester, moved to San Jacinto County, Texas around 1875 and resided there some twelve years before moving to Walker County near Huntsville."

"A brother, E. W. Carroll, also came to Texas and lived nearby with wife, Mary A. and children: Wilson, Mary, Tabitha, Levi and Frank. According to family legend, two brothers came to Texas and two brothers went to Florida. [Ed. Note: This is not legend, but in fact true. Brothers Patrick and Daniel Carroll, as well as, their father Burton and a sister, Mary A. Carroll moved into Suwannee County, Florida in the 1870's where they raised families and lived to the end of their lives. Wilson Rufus and Edward Walton Carroll as well as their sister Frances Carroll, moved into Texas where they raised their families and lived to the end of their lives.] Wilson Rufus died 31 December 1909 from typhoid a few days after his son, Wilson Bruce, died. W. R. is buried in Black Jack Cemetery. Nancy Ann Hester Carrol was born in 1836 in South Carolina. She was a small woman and smoked a corn cob pipe. She would rise at 4 a.m. to set her bread to rise. She lived in a log house near Huntsville until death in 1912."

"Children born to Wilson Rufus and Nancy Ann Carroll were: Willis, possibly died young; Henry, who lived near Sherman, Texas; Frances, married a Merchant, had a daughter Irene, and a son, whom Nancy raised after Frances died: David, died young; Wilson Bruce, Julian, married Polly Waldrip and lived in Teague until his death in 1972; Lee; and Maggie Valentine who married first Mr. Watkins and had William Riley, America Louise, and Bertha Lee. Later Maggie Valentine married Henry Edmond Johnson and had Annie and son. Maggie Valentine died in 1919, also her third husband, W. Cansler, and son, Riley.      Eliza was born on 2 August 1859 at North Carolina.¹ She was the daughter of Jesse Carter and Catherine Johnson. She married David A. Johns, , circa 1880. She married Joseph A. Jackson, son of Richard Ford Jackson and Mary Ann E. Donaldson, circa 1904. Eliza died on 25 September 1938 at Jasper, Hamilton Co., Florida, at age 79.² Her body was buried on 26 September 1938 at Evergreen Cemetery, Hamilton Co., Florida.³
