She married Bailey Stokely, son of William Alexander Stokely and Cora Lee Smith, on 29 November 1918 at Thomasville, Thomas, Georgia, United States.¹ Jossye died on 1 January 1988 at Thomasville, Thomas, Georgia, United States, at age 83. Her body was buried on 2 January 1988 at Sardis Church., Jefferson, Florida, United States.
